In cooperation with LENZING AG, an innovative material for functional sportswear was developed. The combination of the functional and stable polyester yarns with TENCEL™ cellulosic fibers of botanic origin results in best moisture management.
Through the Löffler knitting technology, this material achieves all advantages of very light functional clothing. Best moisture transport, high elasticity, easy care, and pleasant wearing comfort are in focus. In addition to this, TENCEL™-fibers feature a cooling effect and are odorless.

Merino wool at LÖFFLER – Mulesing-free by conviction
For ethical and animal welfare reasons LÖFFLER only uses mulesing-free merino wool and works with a long-standing partner who has been proven to trade only mulesing-free wool (RWS, GOTS).
What is mulesing?
“Mulesing” is a procedure in which merino lambs that are only a few weeks old have removed all of their skin near the tail without any anesthesia. This is to prevent flies from laying their eggs in the folds of the sheep’s skin. This is because an infestation with fly maggots or parasites can be fatal for the animals. In some countries, such as Australia, mulesing is considered necessary by some sheep farmers to reduce the risk of fly infestation and protect sheep health. Mulesing is a controversial practice because it is performed without pain relief and there is also no follow-up wound care. The lambs usually suffer from permanent injuries and inflamed skin areas, which in turn leads to parasite infestations.
By using certified mulesing-free wool, we ensure that no sheep are subjected to unnecessary suffering for LÖFFLER garments.
